    Administration and Cost of Elections Project (ACE)
    A site which contains comprehensive and easily accessible information on all aspects of organising elections.

    The Electoral Commission
    The UK's independent central government body whose site contains a large amount of information such as party registers, research papers on electoral matters, boundary reviews and information for voters, candidates and parties.

    International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (IDEA)
    An organisation which aims to promote sustainable democracy and improve electoral processes world-wide.  The site gives detailed information about the work of the organisation and access to reports and publications.

    International Foundation for Election Systems (IFES)
    An orgnaisation which provides nonpartisan technical assistance in the promotion of democracy worldwide and provides information about democratic development and elections.  Once again, information about project activities, reports and publications.

    PR Library
    An excellent source of information on proportional representation elections and systems, including beginning readings, in-depth articles, an extensive bibliography, and a guide to related websites.


    Government and Constitution


    The Constitution Unit
    An independent research body which specialises in constitutional reform and comparative constitutional studies.  The site gives access to current activities, reports and newsletters.

    The Hansard Society
    An organisation which promotes parliamentary democracy.   Information about programmes, activities, events and publications, including e-democracy and citizenship, as well as links to government-related sites.

    Inter-Parliamentary Union
    A site which provides detailed information about Governments throughout the world in the form of databases, research and reports.

    Official Documents
    A site run by the Stationery Office to provide access of official documents such as reports and Acts of Parliament.
